Metrowest Family Dental is proud to participate in the
Supporting Smiles is a dental access program funded by the Leonard Morse Grants Panel of the Metrowest Community Healthcare Foundation. It partners local Natick dentists with low income Natick residents. There are many who do not qualify for MassHealth, but still cannot afford the high cost of dental care. The cost of preventative and restorative for those who earn under 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and do not have dental insurance will be shared by the patient, local dentists, and the Supporting Smiles program.
We also have participated in other programs that the Natick Service sponsors, such as the Back Pack Program, Holiday Gift Program, and the Thanksgiving Meal Program. If you would like more information about the Natick Service Council or wish to particiapate, please visit their website at http://www.mynatick.org/servicecouncil/.
Over the past year our hygienst Susan Kiggen and our director of public relations Paula Joyal have visited 6 different schools in either Wayland, Natick, or Sherborn, and have more set to visit. Our philosophy is to educate children of all ages the importance of good nutrition and proper dental hygiene. We visit both preschools and first grade classrooms. The visits last about 20 to 30 minutes and before we go we pass out goodie bags to take home which have papers to color and learn from and toothbrushes. Their visits are at no cost to the schools. If you know a program that you think would be interested in having us visit them, please contact Paula at paula@metrowestfamilydental.com.
